Awards/Honours:

JUNE 1995

The then CEC of India, TN Seshan honoured GS RAJAN on 10 June 1995 when Rajan composed and presented a two-hour, first of its kind multi-media musical entitled 'Reflections' in Kamani Auditorium, New Delhi with his 25 piece orchestra.

FEBRUARY 1996

The national jury of Akashwani Award of All India Radio was bestowed upon RAJAN in the year 1996 when Rajan's unique production entitled 'OASIS' containing seven thematic orchestral compositions was selected as one of the best productions of All India Radio.

NOVEMBER 2004

GS RAJAN received the "Best Music Critic" award for the year 2004 from the Minister of Information and Broadcasting. Sangam Kala Group instituted this national level award.

JANUARY 2005

In 2005 Rajan was awarded a special fellowship by the Government of France to work with French musicians and to compose "RAGA-SYMPHONY".

JANUARY 2007

On behalf of 'Apoorva Raagam', Tamil magazine on classical arts, Thavil maestro Shri Valayapatti (Pic: Left) honoured GS RAJAN with the title 'Venu Gaana Sudaroli' (flute maestro) on 1 Jan 2007 in Chennai.

OCTOBER 2011

Justice Ramamoorthy honoured GS RAJAN with the title 'venu gana nipuna' from Astika Samajam, Delhi on 30 October 2011 at Aishwarya MahaGanapti Temple, Lawrence Road, Delhi.

OCTOBER 2012

Former President of India Dr. Kalam honoured RAJAN in Jacksonville, Florida. RAJAN presented a brief concert for him.

NOVEMBER 2013

Greater Atlanta Tamil Sangam honored RAJAN in November 2013.

March 2014

Government of Kerala honors RAJAN with its prestigious 'Sangeetha Natak Akademi' award. RAJAN will be presented with this prestigious award for his contribution to music, in Trivandrum in March 2014.

APRIL 2015

'Rasikapriya', Delhi honored RAJAN with their award in New Delhi, in April 2015 for his outstanding contribution to music.
